Tonalamatl

Tonalamatl ( " book of good and evil days " ) is the name given in Maya and Aztecs in use divination calendar.

The Aztecs, Maya, and presumably also the Inca had a tripartite calendar system. In addition to the calendars on the round earth around the sun ( Haab ) oriented, they also had a process oriented at Venus cycle calendar ( Tzolkin ). One year of this calendar included 13 times 20 days, with each of the 20 days had a solid day signs. Tonalamatl were interviewed to find out whether the companies controlled by forces of fate days for certain projects the people would be favorable or unfavorable. It was believed / hoped in them with information about destiny events, such as the course of disease, pregnancy, childbirth, and the like to get.
