Toni & Guy

Toni & Guy is a global hairdressing company, which was founded in 1963 by the brothers Giuseppe and Gaetano Mascolo in London. Toni & Guy has more than 6,000 employees in over 400 salons, of which there are 14 salons in Germany.

History

The company dates back to the Italian Francesco Mascolo, who worked as a hairdresser in Pompeii. In 1956, he won a trip to London, where he met his wife at a barber competition. The couple had four children who were all hairdressers.

1963 opened two of the sons, Giuseppe Toni and Gaetano Guy in London the first salon, short time later, her brother Bruno Mascolo involved in the company. 1974 came the younger brother Anthony to do likewise; at that time there were already three in London Toni & Guy salons.

Bruno Mascolo opened in 1985 the first U.S. salon in Dallas and brought the TIGI hair care line to the market.

The managing director for Germany, Nicolo Pulia, opened in 1991 the first Toni & Guy salon in Stuttgart. 2008 in Germany there are 14 salons.

Academies

In 1984 in London the first Toni & Guy Academy was founded, the staff and colleagues are opportunities for education and training. 2008 there are 28 such academies worldwide, the German is located in Stuttgart.

Under the umbrella brand Toni & Guy also hairstyling products are sold.
