Tonnerre de Zeus

Tonnerre de Zeus ( German: Thunder of Zeus ) at Parc Astérix ( Plailly, Picardie, France) is a wooden roller coaster manufacturer Custom Coasters International, which was opened in 1997.

It is with its length of 1233 meters, the third longest wooden roller coaster in Europe. The roller coaster has a 30 m high lift hill and a descent into a tunnel, and two helices.

In Greek mythology, Zeus is considered the king of the gods. He is also often viewed as a weather god who hurls lightning at those who displease him. The train is on the edge of the Greek theme of the park. The station is designed as a temple in Greek style. The entrance to the path between the legs under a large statue of Zeus goes along.

Tonnerre de Zeus has two trains of the Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters manufacturer, each with seven cars. In each car four people can (two rows of two people) take place. As Tonnerre de Zeus was opened, there were two blue trains. For 2004, new features have been installed. Of a train is blue and one red.
