Tony Atlas

Anthony White ( * April 23, 1954 known in Roanoke, Virginia, USA Tony Atlas ) is an American professional wrestler, bodybuilder and powerlifter. Since 2006 he is member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Career

Tony Atlas already been very successful in its early days and was in 1974 Mr. Teenage Virginia in bodybuilding, powerlifting champion Virginia and Virginia State Champion in wrestling. In the same year he also began to wrestle professionally, but also operating as before bodybuilding and powerlifting. In his wrestling career Atlas went to both the wrestling federation NWA, WCW and the then World Wrestling Federation.

His greatest success here was winning the tag team title, the WWF together with Rocky Johnson and the fact that he was the first to Hulk Hogan could defeat legal in the WWF. But also in the other sports he could achieve success. Below the title Mr. USA and AAU Mr. Universe bodybuilding, as well as several powerlifting title. Tony was after his engagement as Saba Simba in 1991 in the WWF, as well as a brief stint in WCW in 1992, occasionally working as a wrestler in the independent leagues in the U.S., however, mainly focused on his job as a fitness and wrestling coach. He is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame since 2006. Since 8 July 2008 White performed regularly at World Wrestling Entertainment as a companion to Mark Henry on, denied the possibility isolated itself matches. After Henry moved to RAW, he was the announcer Abraham Washington Show. After the dissolution of ECW he was no longer seen on television. On April 30, 2010 White was fired from the WWE.
