Tony Buck (musician)

Tony Buck (born 1962 in Sydney) is an Australian drummer and percussionist. A graduate of the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music, he was part of the Australian jazz scene.

Buck is a member of the trio The Necks and head of the band Peril, which he founded in Japan with Otomo Yoshihide and Kato Hideki, and astroPeril. He initiated in the early 1990s, the short-lived project L' Beato, an industrial- oriented reminiscent of Tackhead, which brought out an EP titled The Piston Song. He also belonged to Kris Wanders ' European Unit.

Tony Buck lives in Berlin and Australia. He plays in Berlin also in various formations and can also be heard as a soloist; his main interest is free improvisation and " real-time music."
