Tony Chappel

Tony Chappel ( born May 28, 1960) is a Welsh snooker player from Pontarddulais in Swansea.

Career

During his 17 - year professional career Chappel defeated among others, Steve Davis, Terry Griffiths, John Parrott, Stephen Hendry, Alan McManus, Stephen Lee and Ken Doherty. His best result in a ranking tournament he scored with reaching a semi-final in 1990. His last knockout round appearance he succeeded at the Welsh Open 1997. His biggest break was a 143 in the qualification for the World Snooker Championship 1999

Once, Chappel could also qualify for the World Cup finals at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. There, however, he lost in the first round 4:10 against Tony Knowles.
