Tony Skinn

Anthony Oludewa Jeffrey Skinn ( born February 8, 1983 in Lagos ) is an American professional basketball player with Nigerian ancestors. After studying in the United States, he played professionally in several European countries, including in the BBL season 2010/11 at the New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig of the German Basketball Bundesliga. Since the 2012/13 season he plays at BK Budiwelnik from Kiev. Internationally, he takes for Nigeria and qualified for the national team for the 2012 Olympics in London.

College

During his studies played Skinn at least one year from 2001 to 2002 at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas for the high school team Buccaneers in the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association. He then attended the Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown (Maryland) and after a year in 2003 to the George Mason University and played for the Patriots in the NCAA Division I. In his senior year in 2006 he reached with Junior Folarin Campbell, who is also Nigerian ancestors and has later starred in the German BBL, the Final Four tournament of the NCAA Men 's Division I Basketball Championship. In his last season he reached 12.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game on average.

Professional career

In his first season as a professional Skinn played first at the traditional Croatian basketball club from Split, but he left again in December 2006 after three months. He went on then still in the French LNB Pro A, after he had been sorted out before the season starts from the later French masters Chorale Roanne Basket.
