Tordères

Tordères is a commune with 168 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Orientales in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. It is located 20 kilometers south-west of Perpignan.

Geography

Tordères is a municipality in the region Aspres with a size of 991 hectares. The highest elevation is the Roc del Antiquers ( 391 meters), The landscape is dominated by vineyards, olive trees, cork oak forests and garrigue. Llauro, Fourques, Passover and Montauriol are the closest neighboring communities.

History

From 1973 formed Tordères with Passover and Llauro the community Passa Llauro - Tordères. The three communities were independent again in 1989.
