Törkölypálinka

Törkölypálinka is a Hungarian grape marc.

Törkölypálinka is one of the oldest Pálinka types and is made from fermented grape pomace. As Pálinka alcoholic beverages may only be called when all the fruit come from Hungary and the product was bottled in Hungary.

The production of Törkölypálinka can be traced back to the 15th century. In the 17th century the production was so popular that it had to be regulated by law. Törkölypálinka is distilled only in February, March and April.
