Torngatberge on Saglek Fjord

The Torngatberge (English Torngat Mountains; French Monts Torngat ) form a mountain range of the Arctic Cordillera on the north east coast of the Labrador Peninsula in Canada.

They extend over a distance of about 250 km along the provincial border between Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador from Saglek Fjord in the south to the belonging mostly to Nunavut Killiniq Iceland at the northern tip of the peninsula between the Labrador Sea to the east and Ungava Bay to the west. The Torngatberge belong to the low polar tundra ecoregion. The highest peak of the mountain range is the 1652 m high Mont D' Iberville (English Mount Caubvick ). The Torngat Mountains National Park in Newfoundland and Labrador and the Parc national Kuururjuaq in Québec extending across the central part of the mountain. Larger rivers that drain the highlands west to Ungava Bay, are Rivière Koroc, Rivière - André Grenier and Rivière Alluviaq.
