Toronto Film Critics Association

The Toronto Film Critics Association ( TFCA ) is an organization of working as journalists or broadcasters film critics, who are from the Canadian Toronto. Since 1999, the TFCA member of the Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique ( FIPRESCI ), an international association of film critics and film journalists.

Each year, the organization meets to select in different categories each have a winner for the Toronto Film Critics Association Award, which is awarded every year in Toronto. For the first time the awards were presented on 13 January 1997. The nominated person must be involved in films that have been released in the same year the vote.

Irregular assigns the TFCA called Clyde Gilmour Award. He goes to Canadians who have their work generates understanding of the film and increase its prestige in their home country.
