Torrespaña

The Torre España or Torrespaña ( also popularly piruli [ span lollipop ] ) is a 1982, built into reinforced concrete TV tower in Madrid. It is 231 meters tall ( without antenna 220 meters) and placed so until the completion of four high-rise complex in the Cuatro Torres Business Area, the tallest building in the city dar. The design comes from the architect Emilio Fernández Martín de Velasco.

The Torre España is not open to the public. National terrestrial television channels RTVE like, Telecinco, Antena 3 and the autonomous channel Tele Madrid as well as some radio stations broadcast from Torre España.
