Total S.A.
The Total S. A. is a French oil company headquartered in the Tour Total Coupole in the skyscraper district of La Défense in Courbevoie near Paris.
With a turnover of 182.229 billion euros and a net profit of € 10.6 billion (as of 2012) it is the fourth largest oil company and the eight largest industrial companies in the world. Total employed in 130 countries around 97,000 employees (2012 ). In 30 countries, the company extracts oil and gas. The share of total S. A. a member of the CAC 40 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Euro Euronext Paris.

The '' total Refinery central Germany '' was taken in 1997 after a three year construction period. About 1,300 gas stations in the catchment area of the refinery will be supplied with products from Leuna. History
Total 1980 operating in West Germany 313 stations, of which 173 are self-service.

Criticism
For the construction of a gas pipeline from Myanmar (formerly Burma) to Thailand by Total and Unocal ( Yadana project) aimed to protect the pipeline from raids, the villages in this area have been widely destroyed and resettled the population.
