The Tottori Airport (Japanese鸟取 空港, Tottori - Kuko ) is a small commercial airport of the city of Tottori in Japan. The Tottori airport is considered by the Japanese legislation as third class airport. It will be flown within Japan only goals. The airport is located in the city of Tottori right on the coast north-west from the city center.
History
The airport was opened in 1967. Even five years later, there was an extension of the runway from 1,200 meters to 1,500 meters. 1985 there was a further extension to 1,800 meters. In 1990, the last extension to the current 2,000 meters, to which the sea had to be piled up something.
