Tour de Santa Catarina

The Volta Ciclistica Internacional de Santa Catarina is a Brazilian bike races.

The race was held in 1987 for the first time and takes place every year since then. The venue is the South Brazilian State of Santa Catarina. From 2005 to 2010 was one of the stage race on the UCI America Tour and was classified in category 2.2. Record winner is the Brazilian Marcio May, who were won the race four times already. The tour is famous for the traditional mountain stage after Serra do Rio do Rastro, which is with an average gradient of 10% and a length of 7 kilometers, one of the toughest climbs in Brazil.
