Tour of Alberta

The Tour of Alberta is a Canadian bike tour through the province of Alberta. It is part of the UCI America Tour and is the category 2.1 classified. So the race is the most important stage race in Canada. The first edition of the race will take place from 3 - instead of September 8, 2013.

Ratings

At the Tour of Alberta six different votes are held. The respective leaders in the ratings has a corresponding jersey. These are based on the design of the jersey in the Tour de France.

  • Yellow Jersey: Leading in the overall standings
  • Green Jersey: Leading in the points classification
  • Polka Dot Jersey: Leading in the Mountains classification
  • White Jersey: Best young rider (best drivers under 25 in the overall standings )
  • Red jersey: Best Canadians in the overall standings
  • Blue Jersey: Aggressive Rochester driver of the previous stage
