David Garibaldi (* November 4, 1946 in Oakland, California) is an American drummer, who is a co-founder of the radio - rhythm.

Inspired by bands like The Meters and James Brown Garibaldi developed in the late 1960s his individual "two -level concept " technique, which is essentially the ratio of stressed ( accented ) and unstressed ( unaccented ) beats, mostly at play the snare drum and the hi-hat going. Garibaldi was a co-founder of the seminal funk band Tower of Power, where he was a member until 1975 and between 1979 and 1982 and again in 1998 until boarding. In addition, he played with Santana, Dom Famularo, Ray Obiedo, Michael Spiro and Jesus Diaz. Currently, he is a much sought after lecturer and a permanent member of the Californian band RAD.
