Towson is an unincorporated community, a census- designated place and the county seat ( county seat ) of Baltimore County in the U.S. state of Maryland. Towson has 51 973 inhabitants on an area of 36.8 square km.
History
Towson was founded around the year 1750 by the brothers William and Thomas Towson. The resident garden designer Wolfgang Oehme here planted numerous green areas of the city in his unmistakable style.
