Tragheim Church

The Tragheim Church was a Protestant church in Königsberg.

History

The first church was built in 1632 Tragheim the Königsberg suburban home support from a brick barn.

In 1636 it received its own pastor. 1707 will collapse the building. 1707-1710 was a new building by Joachim Ludwig mayor of Unfriedt; the tower with the broken Baroque helmet was only completed in 1723. In 1743, the church burned down again from a new building followed in 1783. Example, the tower remained unfinished with a tent roof. 1809 Glory to God Andreas Wasianski, the supervisor of Immanuel Kant, after his death pastor there. Interesting was the rococo pulpit with excellent carvings by master carpenter Grabowski and the altarpiece of Christian B. Schulz. The organ came from Christian Braveleit.

The church survived the two bombing attacks largely unscathed in August 1944, but was probably destroyed the city in the spring of 1945 during the final battle. In the 1950s or 1960s, it was demolished; stands in its place a plate today.

Personalities associated with the church

On November 24, 1836, the wedding of Richard Wagner with Minna Planer was held in the Tragheim church.

From 1900 to 1933, Edward Korallus pastor of the church Tragheim. He was succeeded as the last Paul Knapp.
