Trains (magazine)

Trains (also: Trains Magazine) is a monthly railway magazine from the U.S.. It is next to Astronomy Magazine and Model Railroader one of the most important journals of the publisher Kalmbach Publishing. The journal is of railfans and the railroad industry employed equally read people.

The magazine was founded in 1940 by Al C. Kalmbach and is the largest and oldest North American magazine for railway traffic. The focus of reporting, the railways are in the U.S. and Canada. The magazine includes a monthly column by the International Herald Tribune journalist Don Phillips.
