Trakai Historical National Park

The Trakai National Park, actually Historical National Park Trakai ( Lithuanian: Trakai istorinis nacionalinis parkas ) is a national park in Lithuania, 30 km west of Vilnius, which is ostensibly the preservation cultural heritage. Center and administrative headquarters of the park with an area of ​​8,200 ha is the place Trakai, once the capital of Lithuania, with the famous water castle. Also, this sector includes the former castle Senieji Trakai and other archaeological sites.

The park includes numerous lakes, the largest of which Galvė, Akmena and Skaistis are also surrounding the lakes Totoriškės and Luka Trakai, moated castle.
