Tran Van Huong

Trần Văn Hương ( Hán Nom:陈文 香; * 1902 at Phan Rang ( about 60 km south of Nha Trang ), † 1982) was a South Vietnamese politician.

Biography

Trần Văn Hương ever was twice mayor of Saigon and Prime Minister of the Republic of Vietnam ( November 1964 - January 1965 and May-August 1969).

Under President Nguyễn Văn Thieu, he was Vice President.

On April 21, 1975 President Nguyễn Văn Thieu resigned and handed over power to Vice President Trần Văn Hương. Trần Văn President Nguyễn Văn Thieu Hương sent to Taiwan and tried to obtain the peace negotiations with North Vietnam.

After a week in office Trần Văn Hương handed over on 28 April 1975, the General Dương Văn Minh to power.
