Tranås

Tranås is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Jönköping County, the historical province of Småland.

The place on the lake Sommen, is the capital of the municipality of the same name. Close to the railway line stambanan Södra and Swedish Reichsweg runs 32 far from the village is the castle Gripenberg, Sweden's largest wooden castle.
