The Trans-European Transport Network Executive Agency (TEN- T EA, English Trans - European Transport Networks Executive Agency) is assigned to an agency of the European Union based in Brussels and the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport.

The Agency is currently one of six executive agencies of the European Union. These take under the EU agencies a special position. They are set up by the European Commission and are responsible for the management of certain programs. They are not intended to be permanent, but set up only for a limited period and rank pari passu of a Directorate General of the European Commission. In contrast to the other EU agencies, they must be in Brussels or Luxembourg, settled and have, other than these, no legal personality. The mandate of the TEN -T EA is currently limited to 31 December 2015.

Task of the executive agency, the implementation of tasks to the Trans-European transport networks, which can be seen from the chapter entitled " Trans-European Networks " of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

The legal basis for this executive agency is the one the EU Council Regulation 58/2003 of 19 December 2002 and Commission Decision 2007/60/EC of 26 October 2006.
