Transavia Denmark

Transavia Denmark was a Danish airline based in Copenhagen and based on the Copenhagen airport. She was a subsidiary of Dutch airline Transavia Airlines and entered like this on mainly under the brand transavia.com and with the same corporate identity.

History

Transavia Airlines saw an opportunity to enter the Danish market by the insolvency of the Danish airline Sterling Airlines. Thus, the company began on 6 November 2008 with charter flights from Billund Airport to various destinations in the Mediterranean. On 8 December 2008, the first scheduled flights were recorded from Copenhagen Airport.

Transavia Denmark received on 13 August 2009 by the Danish Civil Aviation Authority, the Air Operator Certificate and was therefore able to perform with its own aircraft flights.

In September 2010 it was announced that Transavia Denmark on the basis of non-performance business goals stops operation on 1 April 2011. The Dutch parent company is not affected.
