The Trans Europe (Trans Europe Compañía de Aviación ) was domiciled at the Palma de Mallorca Airport Spanish charter airline which ceased operations in 1982.

History

The Trans- Europe was founded in Madrid in July 1965 with the participation of the Spanish airline Iberia and Aviaco as TransEuropa Compañía de Aviación ( TECA ). In September of the same year first opportunity services (Ad -hoc charter) were flown with a Douglas DC-7. After the company was able to conclude in 1966 long-term charter contracts with several tour operators, three aircraft were operated in total. In addition, the Company acquired two each Douglas DC -4 and Douglas C- 54 on Spanish domestic cargo flights were used until 1973. In the period from July 1969 to February 1970 Trans Europe received three factory new jet aircraft of the type Sud Aviation Caravelle. The first two machines (EC- BRX and EC- BRY ) were rented immediately after their delivery to the long-term Iberia. The third Caravelle (EC- FRY) sat Trans Europe in own colors on charter flights mainly to Great Britain and West Germany a. In 1974, the company got back their leased aircraft and took the last Douglas DC -7C from. In subsequent years, the pure Caravelle fleet was gradually increased with used machines.
