Transmission site Landespolizeidirektion Karlsruhe

The radio station Lerchenberg is a telecommunications facility on the northeast of the Lerchenberg Wildberger district Gültlingen in the district of Calw. From here, the radio networks of police, fire and civil protection in the entire territory of the country are coordinated. Operator of the plant is the national police headquarters in Karlsruhe on behalf of the Interior Ministry of Baden- Württemberg.

The most striking building on the site is a 81 meter high telecommunications tower in reinforced concrete, which also serves as a carrier for 70 - cm - directional antennas as well as numerous 4-meter antennas. The facility also has several dipole antennas for shortwave.
