Trapper John, M.D. ( German also: chief physician Trapper John ) is an American medical drama that aired from September 23, 1979 to September 4, 1986 in the U.S. on CBS.

A total of 151 episodes were filmed in seven seasons. This series is a spin-off of the movie MASH, respectively, of the same TV series, as John McIntyre once served in the Korean War in 4077 MASH. However, the figure in all three cases was portrayed by another actor.

Content

Dr. John McIntyre, called Trapper, is the chief medical officer of the San Francisco Memorial Hospital. He once served in the Korean War in a field hospital, dates from this time also his nickname. His closest colleague and best friend, Dr. George Alonzo Gates called Gonzo. Supported by numerous doctors and nurses, they have to cope with many dramatic, but also humorous situations.

Sat.1 shone in 1989 as the first German TV station's series nearly completely of. There was only the 135th episode. This episode (The prodigy ) is about a doctor who is suspected to be guilty as a Nazi at the deaths of several hundred people.
