Trauma (band)

Trauma is an American heavy and speed metal band from San Francisco, California, founded in 1981, located about 1984 and disbanded in 2013 got together again.

History

The band was founded in 1981, with Metallica bassist Cliff Burton was one of the founding members. After the band could be heard as early as 1982 with the song Such a Shame on the compilation Metal Massacre II, was published in 1984 the first and only album Scratch and Scream on Shrapnel Records. The band existed at the time of the guitarist Ross Alexander and Michael Overton, bassist Lucas Advincula, drummer Kris Gustofson and singer Donny Hilliers. The album was to be heard as a background singer Leather Leone, which should accede Chastain later. After the release of the album, the band broke up.

On 10 February 2013, the band played a concert in honor of the crashed 1986 Cliff Burton, who would have celebrated his 51st birthday on this day. In concert, the band played previously unpublished, written by Burton songs.

Style

The band played on their album Scratch and Scream a blend of speed and power metal. The use of guitar solos was this characteristic. The pace remembered in the songs often to Judas Priest or New Wave of British Heavy - Metal bands.
