Travian Games GmbH, based in Munich, is a German software company that specializes in the development and distribution of browser games. Travian Games is claims to be the largest company in the computer game industry in Bavaria and one of the world leading companies in the online games industry.

History

In summer 2004, the team published by the company founder Gerhard Müller, the first version of the browser game Travian own. The game quickly became a success, so that was founded in early 2005 for further support of the Game Travian Games GbR, Munich. In the autumn of the same year the present Travian Games GmbH was founded, the number of registered players in Travian was now greatly increased. 2007 then went Travian online the second game of the company. Travian Games was also starting to offer their own games internationally in each localized versions. 2009, the third own Wewaii was started, which has won the German Computer Game Award 2010 as the best browser game. 2010 increased Travian Games is a development studio at Hamburger northworks, which to date thanks to prototype development of the city of Hamburg was able to bring two browser games on the market. and took over 2011 steroid Interactive competitors from Gameforge.

During the year 2011 were several new games to the company at the start, including a first beta version of Imperion and trading simulation Remanum. Now the company has 230 employees and more than 120 million registered players worldwide. Politically, Travian Games is very locally patriotic and was visited in 2012 by the Bavarian Media Minister Thomas cruiser.

Travian Games products have won many awards and are localized in up to 40 different languages. Since 2012 regularly run TV commercials in different countries.
