Trece Martires

Trece Martires City (Filipino: Lungsod ng Trece Martires ) is a city in the Philippine province of Cavite, as well as the capital of the province of Cavite. It has 104 559 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ).

The city is named after the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite, who were executed on 12 September 1896 by the Spaniards.

Trece Martires City is politically subdivided into 13 barangays. It is noteworthy that each Baranggay is named after one of the thirteen martyrs of Cavite.
