Trinh Xuan Thuan

Trinh Xuan Thuận (* 1948 in Hanoi, Vietnam) is an astrophysicist. In 1974 he received his Ph.D. at Princeton University in astrophysics. Since 1976 he has held a professorship at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the International Society for Science. In the context of astrophysics his specialty is the study of galaxies beyond the Milky Way. He has published nearly two hundred articles about the history of the formation of the elements from the Big Bang, to galaxy formation and evolution. In October 2002, Thuan in Munich attended the Science Congress " Unity in Duality - unity in duality " together with eight scientists and academics in the fields of astronomy, physics, chemistry, medicine, and psychology and the Dalai Lama in part. After four days succeeded in the realization that the dualistic worldview of science: wave and corpuscle with the idea of ​​a unit, which is the common basis of all experience, is compatible.
