Tripoli Cathedral
The Gamal Abdel -Nasser Mosque at Algeria Square in Tripoli ( Maydan al - Dschaza'ir ) was built as a Catholic cathedral named Santa Maria degli Angeli in Libya during the Italian colonial era in Libya. The built 1923 to 1928 after plans by Saffo Panteri neo-Romanesque church building was converted as a testimony of Italian colonialism from the Libyan revolutionary regime in 1970 in a named after Gamal Abdel Nasser Mosque, the Campanile transformed into a minaret.
