Trisaccharide

Trisaccharides (deprecated triple sugar) are organic chemical compounds from the group of carbohydrates. Trisaccharides are formally of three monosaccharide units ( simple sugars ) by elimination of water (two equivalents of water). The monosaccharide units in the trisaccharide two covalently linked glucosidic bonds. The trisaccharides belong to the group of oligosaccharides.

If at least one Monosaccharidbaustein is not bonded through its anomeric carbon atom, is a reducing trisaccharide.
