Tristeza

Tristeza is an American post-rock band from San Diego, California.

Band History

The band was founded in early 1997 in San Diego, and initially consisted of Christopher Sprague, Jimmy LaValle, Luis Hermosillo and James Lehner. Soon after, Stephen Swesey completed the lineup. In December 1997 the band recorded their first single on Foreshadow in a garage and published it in the spring of 1998, when unknown label Caffeine vs. Nicotine. Summer over the toured the five musicians through the U.S. and practiced already for their first full length album which they recorded in the Louder Studios in San Francisco in the fall of 1998.
