Tristolzer Berg

Tristolzer mountain

The Tristolzer mountain is an elevation above Ellwangen in the district of Biberach in Upper Swabia.

Location

The mountain lies on the boundary of Rot an der Rot in the suburb Tristolz. On clear days you can see from this vantage point, the Zugspitze, Santis, buses and the Ulmer Münster northerly.

The weather station south recommends the mountain as a lookout at Foehn weather, next to the Black Ridge and others. The mountain is surrounded by the headwaters of two rivers. Southeast below the mountain the Füramooser Ried is the origin of Rottum which flows into the Danube. Below the south of the mountain is the source of the Ellbaches, a stream which then flows into Rot an der Rot with the Pfaffenrieder Bach in the red and into the Danube.
