Triumph Street Triple

The Street Triple 675 is a bike that is built by the British brand Triumph since 2007.

Technology

The vehicle is based on the Supersport machine Daytona 675 and was presented at the Tridays in Newchurch in June 2007 ( Neukirchen am GROßVENEDIGER ). Compared with the Triumph Daytona 675, the engine on a lower peak power with improved torque curve has been tuned. This was achieved by Tamer camshaft, cast instead of forged pistons, a reduced maximum speed, a modified exhaust system and another map of the injection. Many elements of the chassis were also taken directly or modified by the Daytona.

Design

The design of the Street Triple is similar to that of the Triumph Speed ​​Triple, which is why it is titled as a scaled down version of the Speed ​​Triple, even though they are technically more like an undisguised version of the Daytona. The manufacturer describes it with the slogan "Genetic engineering - Made by Triumph".

The Street Triple has been rated in the trade press in multiple comparison tests as one of the best vehicles of the middle class. Street Triple R

In 2008, Triumph before a higher quality version of the Street Triple at the Isle of Man. The Street Triple R, in contrast to the basic model including a radial-mount front brake, a fully adjustable suspension, a 0.5 cm higher and re- stitched seat and a double-butted Magura aluminum handlebars. She also has a steeper fork. Commercially it is available since October 2008.

Street Triple R 2010

2012 Street Triple and Street Triple R 2012

In 2011, Triumph has in another model update primarily altered visual details on both models. Most obvious change is the change of the headlight unit, originally from the dual round headlights to a more aggressive looking, rectangular model. The normal Street Triple is now shipped with the tapered handlebars of the Street Triple R. Further details have been revised at various parts. Among the bar ends, footpegs, clutch cover, Auspuffendtöpfe and plastic covers on the frame in the area of the steering head.

Street Triple / Triple R 2013

For the year 2013, the Triple has been completely redesigned. The frame was newly designed, constructed the rear frame in die-cast and the former side of the bench seat built 3 -into-2 exhaust system was replaced by a 3-in -1 system with low recently installed muffler. Similarly, the swingarm was re-executed. Optional Switchable ABS is now available. Length and width grew minimally, the weight decreased by 7 kg. The performance of the engine remained the same, the maximum values ​​are reached, however, at slightly higher speeds. The radiator grille was redesigned and visually contrasting color.

The Triple R rear frame and radiator grille were painted red and the rims fitted with red rim tape. The well-known from previous modifications over the standard version have also been adopted for the new model.
