Trolleybuses in Salzburg

The trolleybus Salzburg, locally often referred to as trolleybus, is next to the trolleybus Linz one of two remaining trolleybus systems in Austria. With eleven lines, 154 stations and around 100 cars Salzburg has to Athens / Piraeus, San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver, the fifth largest bus network overhead line of the western world. History

On 1 October 1940, the first trolleybus drove through the streets of Salzburg. He associated the line M - for Maxglan - on the track Sigmund space Maxglan, which is a part of the line is 1 today. Oldest car of the current inventory are the 20 high-floor Graf & Stift articulated cars of model years 1988 to 1994, except for cars 219 and 220 they all have a three-phase motor. Salzburg trolleybus per eV and museum cars
