Tromsøya

Tromsøya ( Northern Sami: Romssasuolu ) is an island between the Straits Tromsøysund and Sandnessund between mainland Norway and the Kvaløya in Tromsø municipality in Troms Fylke.

To the east of the island is the center of the city of Tromsø and the University of Tromsø, the University Hospital North Norway and Tromsø Museum are located here.
