Trotton with Chithurst

Trotton with Chithurst is a municipality in West Sussex. It lies on the A272 between Midhurst and Petersfield. The census of 2000 showed that the 768 hectares of the municipality 129 households existed with a population of 328 people, including 160 employed. There are two churches in the town, St George's in Trotton with wall paintings from the 14th century, and St Mary's in Chithurst. Both are Anglican, but St George's is used once a month by members of the British Orthodox Church. In 1979, a Buddhist monastery was established in a country house that Chithurst Buddhist Monastery.

The author Thomas Otway was born in 1652 in Trotton.
