After some much more settled in the mid-tempo predecessor The Dissent Of Man the target for True North was back to write a faster, harder album, inspired by publications like Suffer and No Control. Consequently, a majority of the songs rather fast hardcore attributable to pieces of about two minutes in length. It was taken to the studio with producer Joe Barresi in July and August 2012 in "Joe's House of Compression". Already in November 2012 appeared "Fuck You" as the first single, in December 2012, then the title track of the album.
