Trust (French band)

History

The beginnings ( 1977 to 1979 )

The first single was released in 1978 and contained the songs Prends pas ton flingue and Paris By Night.

The first album, simply called Trust, but also often referred to as " Trust I " or " L'Elite " later became known, was recorded in the aforementioned original line-up and released in 1979. Musically, the album was a mixture of hard rock with slight punk twist. " Bernie " socially critical lyrics were from the beginning to provoke controversy in the media. Despite, or perhaps because the album was very successful in France, the great international interest in the band was, however, awakened only with the follow-up album " repression ".

The "Golden Years " (1980 to 1985)

The album repression was recorded and released in 1980. In order to use also the international market was published alongside the French version is still an English version of the album in the same year. Besides a successful tour in France as a headliner ( " dans l' Hexagone Répression " tour, recordings were first published in 1992 as a live album ) now joined Trust as a support act, inter alia, for the friendly band AC / DC for their European tour on.

In 1981 Nicko McBrain, the Briton took over the drums from " Jeannot " Hanela and it was reinforced. Around an additional guitarist The sound develops through the second guitar a little bit of hard rock in the direction away from Heavy Metal. You played such an album Marche Ou Crève and then went on a very successful headlining tour through France. Only in 1982, the English-language version of the album was titled Savage. In the rest of Europe they played after this publication, inter alia, as the opening act for fellow Iron Maiden.

Following it was a little quieter around the group. " Nicko McBrain joined Iron Maiden, in exchange for the so far playing with Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr went to Trust, but only as a guest musician for the recording of the next album.

This appeared in 1983 and had, as the first album, no title. It is used to distinguish it from " Trust I / L'Elite " but often " Trust IV " or "ideal " since it was the fourth studio album by the band. Next year, the English-language version of the album was titled Mans Trap. The album was much more commercial than its predecessor and sold only mediocre.

Trust took in 1984 on the album Rock'n'Roll, of which, however, never an English version was recorded, because the band fell out after the shots and broke up.

Reunions (1988 to present)

As in 1988, the American heavy metal band Anthrax, the Trust Song Antisocial coverte and that was very successful, it was the first reunion of Trust. Among other things, they played two concerts as a special guest of Iron Maiden at the " Monsters of Rock " festival at a packed Paris Palais Omnisports de Paris -Bercy. Of these performances, there is also a published 1989 live album.

In the following years, every few years made ​​repeatedly reunions of the band in various occupations around " Bernie " and " Nono ". There were concerts, publications of old and new pieces, and subsequent separations. To the old strength and creativity, the Trust had made the leading French hard rock size in the early 1980s, the band was not back.

At present ( 2012) are planned no need to re reunification, nor remastered new releases of old albums.
