Trzebiny

Trzebiny ( German Treben ) is a village in Poland in the Wielkopolska Region. It belongs to the municipality Swieciechowa in powiat Leszczynski.

History

The first mention of today's Trzebiny dates from the year 1360 with the mention of the owner Wierzbięta. 1421 a chapel in the town is mentioned, the altar of the place came from the 14th century. 1566 was the site become the property of Krzysztof Trzebinski and later in the Przybyszewski the family. With the construction of the castle was begun in 1690 on behalf of Jan Melchior Gurowski. In the 18th century General Johann von Lipski acquired (Polish January Lipski from Długie Stare ) Trzebiny and lived until he died in 1834 at the age of 114 years. Middle of the 19th century, the family of Leesen to owner of the place and remained so until the expulsion at the end of the Second World War.

The construction of the castle began in about 1690th The Principal Jan Melchior Gurowski was the wedding with Krystyna Przybyszewska came into the possession of Trzebiny and wanted to increase his prestige through the construction of the building. 1860 was commissioned by August Ferdinand of Leesen and Gotha Umbauseit which a small courtyard located in the building. After the Second World War, the building fell into disrepair and was thoroughly renovated from 1983 to 1986 .. Today the castle is the seat of the Regional Centre for Research and Documentation of attractions in Poznan and provides an archaeological exhibition space. Also overnight stays are possible there. The castle is also about a 5 hectare comprehensive park.

Economy and infrastructure

Through the village runs a road of Piotrowice after Długie starlings. In Długie Stare the country road crosses 12 ( droga Krajowa nr 12), which leads east to Leszno, west by Wschowa.

The nearest international airports are Lawica, about 65 kilometers north-east and the Nicolaus Copernicus Airport Wroclaw, about 90 kilometers south.
