Tubarão is a city in the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil. It is located about 150 kilometers south of Florianópolis on the river Tubarão, in the south of the springs forth in the plateau Campo dos Padres Serra Geral mountain country.

The city is the seat of the diocese since 1954 Bishop Tubarão and seat of the University Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina.

In the vicinity of the city, home to the railway museum Museu de Tubarão Ferroviário, you reach the Baths of Termas da Guarda.
