Turkey Badminton Federation

The Türkiye Badminton Federasyonu ( TBF ) is the supreme national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Turkey. The association was founded on 31 May 1991.

History

With the establishment in 1991 of the Turkish Badminton Association is one of the younger national organizations in badminton. For the first President of the TBF İrfan Yıldırım was appointed. On 3 November 1991, the TBF was 104th member of the International Badminton Federation. On 5 December 1993, it was the first elected President Akın Taşkent. From 1997 to 2004 headed A. Faik İmamoğlu the affairs of the Federation. Since 2004, Murat Özmekik stands before the Association. In 1993, the first Turkish championships were held in 1997 launched the team competition and were first held in 2007, the Turkey International.
