The parliamentary elections in Turkey in 1991 were held on 20 October 1991. There were elections to the 19th Grand National Assembly.

The election brought the Anavatan Partisi a defeat. Election winner was the Yol Partisi Doğru ( True Path Party ), which then presented the new prime minister with their president Süleyman Demirel. In addition to the Sosyaldemokrat Halkçı Parti (Social Democratic Populist Party) as the third- strongest force, managed two more parties to jump over the 10% threshold. The Refah Partisi reached 16.9 % and the Demokratik Sol Parti (Democratic Left Party ) took 10.7 % of the vote for the first time in parliament. Many saw the Refah Partisi as a threat because the religiously oriented party questioned the mayor in key provinces such as Istanbul. The turnout was 83.9 %.
