Turn on the haunches

The haunches is a lesson in the dressage, in which the horse is turned to the inside hind leg.

The horse is out with the forehand from holding out in a turn around the hindquarters. The hind legs come there in as small a circle whose center is very close to the inside hind leg. The hind legs should not cross ( [ Side ] step up to the last ), but in time become valid in a tight circle, especially the inner leg; it must not be simply rotated standing in constant contact with the ground. This is in contrast to the spin at western riding. The front legs occur in an arc in a crossing to the hindquarters around sideways and describe a semicircle, so that a 180-degree turn is created.

In contrast to the haunches the turn at the short turn and the Schrittpirouette from the motion carried out.
