TV 1893 Neuhausen

The TV 1893 Neuhausen is a German sports club based in the district of Neuhausen Metzinger at Erin's. The club was known primarily for his handball team that played four seasons in the Handball - Bundesliga.

History

The handball team of TV Neuhausen managed in1973 the leap into the Südstaffel the then two-tier Premier League, but increased after a year as Table again. After another year intermezzo in the season 1975/76 the TVN was in season 1977/78 as a climber of the founding members of the Bundesliga single track, but had to turn to accept relegation to second-class then Regionalliga Süd after only one year. Two years later the club had to leave this league down and then spent nearly three decades in the amateur field.

After promotion back to the fourth-rate Oberliga Baden -Württemberg in 2005 TVN managed two more ascents within four years and played since 2009 back in the 2nd Bundesliga and for the first time for over thirty years back at the federal level. After two eighth places in the 2nd Bundesliga Süd, the TV Neuhausen had qualified for the first season of the single-track 2 Bundesliga, finished at the end of this season in third place and was thus able to celebrate the fourth promotion to the Bundesliga. The TVN making it the club with the largest time gap between two Erstligaspielzeiten in Bundesliga history. In his previous three league seasons, the club always finished last.

In the Bundesliga season 2012/13 the club wore out its home games in the Paul Horn Arena in Tubingen, since the Hofbühlhalle was not bundesliga fit. The team is coached at the time by Aleksandar Stević. Managing Director of the handball section until 30 September 2012, Jürgen Zepf. One match left in the season the team was firmly relegated from the Bundesliga, they will play with it in the 2013/14 season back in the second handball league.
