Two Door Cinema Club

Two Door Cinema Club is a company incorporated in Bangor and Donaghadee in Northern Ireland 2007, Indie rock band with electro influences.

Band History

Alex Trimble and Sam Halliday, who already knew each other from school days, in 2007 teamed up with Kevin Baird and founded the Two Door Cinema Club. The three students gave up her studies, got the French label Kitsuné a record deal and released their critically acclaimed 2009 debut by critics, the EP Four Words to Stand On.

After they had occurred in 2009 included at the Glastonbury Festival, they were taken late in the nomination list Sound of 2010, the BBC forecast for the most promising newcomer. In early March they released their debut album Tourist History, the number 24 on the British charts reached. It was also awarded the Choice Music Prize as the best Irish album of the year 2010.

In 2010, the band contributed the song I Can Talk with a soundtrack for the game Gran Turismo 5, FIFA 11 and NBA 2K11. 2012 Sleep Alone followed for the soundtrack of FIFA 13
