Tyra Banks
Tyra Lynne Banks ( born December 4, 1973 in Inglewood, California) is American model, actress, singer and talk show host.
In 1997 she won the Michael Award for Best Super Model of the Year (Super Model of the Year ). Tyra Banks is one of the most prominent models in the United States. People Magazine chose 1994 and 1996 under the " 50 Most Beautiful People in the World ".
Life
As a child she attended Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, California. In 1991, she was discovered at age seventeen from the Elite modeling agency. She dropped out of school and moved to Paris.
Modeling career
Already in the first weeks of your stay in Paris, many designers were aware of Banks. She was booked for 25 shows, and thus holds the record for newcomers. Tyra Banks worked among other things already for the likes of Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger, but it is known primarily as a Victoria's Secret Angel. From the founders of Victoria's Secret, she was even referred to as the best model. In addition, Banks had the honor of being the first African-American woman to grace the covers of Sports Illustrated Swimmsuit Issue and GQ. In 2005 she retired from the business model.

Bankable Productions
Prior to her career as a model Tyra Banks was adopted by five different colleges to study film and television production, but decided first for a career on the catwalk. In 2004, she founded her own company, Bankable Productions. The first project of America's Next Top Model is very successful. Right now, the 20th season will be broadcast. Banks is both a producer and a jury member of the reality television show.
Banks also dabbled as a singer and recorded the song "Shake Ya Body " on, which was produced by Rodney Jerkins. The accompanying music video shows the last six candidates of the second season of America's Next Top Model. The single was a flop and the planned debut album TYRA was never published.
Your own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show airs daily on the U.S. TV channel The CW in 2005. After the second season, the crew of the show moved to New York City, so that America's Next Top Model and the talk show can be turned parallel. Banks won an Emmy in the field of daytime shows for the moderation of her talk show. End of 2009, Banks has announced that the fifth season of the talk show will be the last.

Tyra Banks starred in many music videos, including Michael Jackson's " Black or White", where they can be seen as the second face of the morphing sequence. Also in George Michael's " Too Funky ", along with supermodel Linda Evangelista, in Turner's "Love Thing", Mobb Deep's and in " Trife Life".
